I hate everything

Because, all of a sudden, hating things is wrong and makes you a bad person.

So I've gotten a lot of comments concerning my hate stamps, specifically the below:



Which is fine, mind you, even the ones who disagree with me (I welcome those the most). However, there are some that I've found to be rather odd. These would be on the topic of hate and why hate is wrong.

Hate isn't wrong nor is it a bad thing. It's okay to hate, whether you hate something or a person, or even a group of people. It's fine and perfectly normal to hate things.

Hate is an emotion, the polar opposite of love, but as much as these two are at different ends of the spectrum, people often forget that you cannot have one without the other, nor would you want to abolish hate itself.

I've heard some arguments that hate is wrong because it hurts people, offends, creates conflicts, some even die over it. Well, I could say the same about a few other things too, like love, guns, food, etc. Who is responsible for killing people? The person wielding the gun or the gun itself? What I mean is, people are quick to blame hate for everything, it's all hate's fault, rather than take responsibility for it themselves.

For one, hate is okay until you use it against someone or something, like using it as a weapon to hurt another. Only then does it become hatred and only then will I agree that it is wrong. Nevertheless, I hate radishes, am I a bad person because of it?

Secondly, hating something isn't an insult or an act of conflict. Vegetarians hate meat and meat production because it kills animals, so are they insulting meat eaters now? No, of course not, don't be stupid. But even if your opinion or ideal might offend someone, will you really spend your entirely life censoring yourself for the sake of others? I wouldn't want to be you in that case, sounds like a sad way to live.

Thirdly, for as much as people say hate is a bad thing, that it's wrong to hate things because it might offend someone, that it's unnecessary, etc., the same could also be said for love. Some people love fucking animals and/or children, so should we be okay with that simply because it's love? Frankly, I find this far more offensive than someone who hates religion, hates people, hates things and so on. There are people who use love as a weapon too, who abuse it, are addicted to it, hurt from it, and yet no one says we should abolish love?

So yeah, I hate stuff, in fact I hate a lot of stuff. I hate organised religion, I hate radishes, I hate orange hair, I hate smelly feet, I hate whiners, I hate racism, I hate people, I hate ugly games, I hate Nintendo, I hate Mario, I hate Jesus, I hate winter, I hate you, etc etc etc.

I fucking love to hate.
